MATT GEILER
MATT GEILER (SAG-AFTRA) is a multidisciplinary artist and performer with a passion for helping creatives of all ages unlock their skills, talents, and imaginations. With over 30 years of professional experience, My career spans the interconnected worlds of music, improv comedy, illustration, animation, writing, and design.
As a world-class musical improviser, I have appeared on national television shows such as America’s Got Talent and NBC’s The Comedy Show Show. I’ve released seven albums with my indie-pop band Frederick Julius, launched a coming-of-age fiction podcast and audiobook titled Lonely Boy, and became a pop culture icon as the viral Dancing Pumpkin Man (with over 20 million YouTube views).
I am also the co-founder of Sick Picnic Media, a boutique 2D character animation and digital production studio based in Omaha, Nebraska, which I run with my wife, Jenny. Whether I’m illustrating children’s books, designing album covers, voice acting, freestyling on stage, or writing novels and poetry, my creative engine never stops.
In my lessons and workshops, I focus on empowering each student’s unique artistic voice. From drawing dynamic cartoon characters to developing improv skills, recording original music, or exploring voice acting, my teaching centers around nurturing core creativity. My mission? To help you level up your abilities, build confidence, and supercharge your artistic journey.
