  • There is a 30 day cancellation policy in place for all private lessons. To cancel, please call our office at (402) 235-4797 or send an email to office@402artscollective.org. We ask that you let us know the student’s name and their their instructors name.

  • We understand that life gets busy with vacations, school schedules, and holidays. However, please note that we do not offer the option to pause lessons. If you choose to cancel and return at a later time, our standard 30-day cancellation policy still applies, and the $30 registration fee will be required upon re-enrollment.

Please also keep in mind that while we’ll do our best to accommodate your return, we cannot guarantee availability with your original Artist Instructor, as their schedules may change.

  • The short answer is, “yes and no”. Some studios that offer private lessons have chosen to offer their students the chance to schedule a make up lessons if they need to cancel their scheduled lesson that was on the schedule. This is NOT something we offer in the 402 Lesson Studio. Per our policy, a make up lesson is only offered if A) the Artist Instructor is unable to teach the scheduled lesson or B) the Artist Instructor wishes to offer a makeup lesson to the student as a good will gesture. The Lesson Studio is not , however, obligated to offer a make up lesson if the scheduled lesson is unable to be attended by the student. We do this for the following reasons:

    1. Our studio is growing - and has expanded beyond being able to accommodate the needed flexibility and studio space for scheduling short notice makeup lessons.

    2. We value our Artist Instructor’s time - it is our commitment to serve our Artist Instructors in a manner that allows them to steward their time well and be successful in their practitioning. When a student pays for their tuition, they are not only paying for lessons, but also the time and space. They are committing, along with the Artist Instructor to both arrive at a designated place and time every week. As soon as the tuition is paid, the place (studio), and time (30 or 60min) is “owned” by the paying student and is un-moveable until other arrangements are made with the 7 days notice.

  • The short answer is “yes”. We have developed this model and system in such a way that keeps overhead costs down so that we are able to do more for the Artist Instructor Members which in turn benefits your student. One of those things, is an automatic billing system. Once on our automatic payment plan (Subscription) you are charged on the 1st of every month. Please note, however, we also understand that there are some who have chosen not to have electronic payment methods. In these rare cases, we invite you contact our office and discuss a solution.

  • The 402 Lesson Studio is a program of the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization called 402 Arts Collective. It’s mission is to provide avenues for artists to impact lives through the arts. Please click here for more information and learn about ways to support: https://402artscollective.org/donate

  • The answer is simple, nothing changes. Essentially, when you sign up and pay the standard monthly subscription, this entitles you to one lesson with your Artist Instructor per week. You are charged the same price if there are four weeks in a month or if there are five weeks in a month. Consider these instances to be “free lessons” to the student. Keep in mind, however, that there are no refunds or credits given for missed or canceled lessons on the fifth week per our studio policy.
