MUSART FOR ADULTS
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:
This workshop is designed for adults 18+ who are passionate about both music and visual art—or are simply curious to explore how the two connect.
Together, we’ll dive into the textures, colors, patterns, and writings found in both artistic forms, blending them into unique creative expressions. Whether you’re a beginner or have some experience, you’ll find an encouraging space to grow your skills and discover new ways to merge sound and sight.
OCTOBER | MUSIC TEXTURE - Come create vibrant and meaningful art as we dissect music with color and texture. From Caribbean to pop and country music, let your heart dance! We will be listening to several types of music and creating color and texture that fit the style and composition of the song. We will use a variety of materials from leaves and crushed flower petals to sand and stencils.
NOVEMBER | 50’s ROCK-N-ROLL ERA – We will create a variety of artwork through influences from ELVIS, the King of Rock and Roll, along with images such as jukeboxes, saddle shoes, classic cars, and poodle skirts. Come enjoy some fun music and epic art!
DECEMBER | FESTIVE, SEASONAL, HOLIDAY ART - Come enjoy seasonal music as we use various art mediums from watercolors to acrylic paints to create a meaningful booklet to take home or give to someone as a gift.
COST: $42.00
WHEN: Third Saturday of every month, 2:30 pm-4:00 pm
AGES: 18+
WHAT TO BRING: All supplies and materials are provided for each student and will be ready when you arrive.
