OIL PAINTING BASICS
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:
Discover the essentials of oil painting in this beginner-friendly class designed to build a strong foundation. Students will explore what sets oils apart from acrylics, and what you can do with oils that you can’t do with other mediums!
We will practice different applications and brush techniques, and learn how to thin paints for various effects. We will start by going through blacks, whites, and the grey scale, and then we will move on to cover colors, color mixing, tints, and shades.
This workshop will also cover proper care of materials and safe, effective clean-up practices—equipping participants with the confidence and skills to continue their oil painting journey in upcoming classes with Abby!
COST: $84.00
WHEN: First & Third Sundays of each month, 5:00 pm-6:30 pm
AGES: Teens & Adults 16+
