OIL PAINTING BASICS
CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Discover the essentials of oil painting in this beginner-friendly class designed to build a strong foundation. Students will explore what sets oils apart from acrylics, and what you can do with oils that you can’t do with other mediums! We will practice different application and brush techniques, and learn how to thin paints for various effects. We will start with going through blacks, whites, and the grey scale, and then will move on to cover colors, color mixing, tints, and shades. This class will also cover proper care of materials and safe, effective clean-up practices—equipping you with the confidence and skills to continue your oil painting journey in upcoming classes with me!
COST: $84.00
WHEN: Meets the first & third Sundays of each month from 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm
AGES: Teens & Adults 16+
WHAT TO BRING: All supplies and materials are provided, and will be ready when you arrive..
