CHRISTINE BERGERON
My name is Christine and I graduated with my Bachelor of Music Performance degree in 2017. There I focused on learning singing techniques in the Bel Canto style, which is Italian for “beautiful singing”. I have a foundational education in classical piano and received a handful of introductory jazz piano lessons, which led me to being in the University of Omaha’s Jazz Too ensemble as the pianist for one semester. Prior to getting my music degree, I sang in a church choir for a number of years. My favorite genre to sing is jazz. I love teaching because it gives me a chance to authentically connect with my students. I teach foundational singing techniques and help singers find their original sound. Aside from music, I am passionate about crochet. I have been crocheting for around 10 years. Some projects I am particularly proud of include blankets and sweaters. I am excited to teach you this fun skill and help you explore your creativity. Let’s create something beautiful together!
