NEW ARTIST IN RESIDENCE: CIARA FORTUN
We are thrilled to announce that Omaha-based freelance artist and designer Ciara Fortun has joined the Artist-In-Residence (A.I.R.) Program at the 402 Arts Collective. With a diverse artistic journey that began in 2016, Ciara has continually evolved her craft, making significant contributions to the local and regional art scenes.
Ciara's artistic endeavors commenced with fashion design, showcasing her collections at both Omaha and Kansas City Fashion Weeks. Her exceptional talent was recognized early on when she received the Top Designer of the Night Award at Omaha Fashion Week in Fall/Winter 2016. Over time, she transitioned her focus to cover art and mixed media paintings, collaborating with musicians such as Judah and the Lion, Cable Network, and Shane Peterson. Her background in fashion endows her with a keen eye for detail, evident in her abstract, collage-style pieces that often incorporate elements from Scripture, journal entries, dreams, and music. Through her work, Ciara aims to challenge and redefine the concept of a 'Christian creative.'
The A.I.R. Program at the 402 Arts Collective is dedicated to supporting local artists as they pursue their creative endeavors. By providing resources such as marketing, studio space, booking management, branding, business coaching, and legal assistance, the program empowers artists like Ciara to achieve their artistic goals.
As Ciara embarks on this new chapter with the 402 Arts Collective, we invite you to support her journey by contributing to her A.I.R. Fund. Your tax-deductible donation will directly assist Ciara in accessing essential resources and opportunities to further her artistic career.
